Nike G-Shock and Nigel Sylvester
The man Nigel Sylvester and Nike team up for this G-Shock experience.¬† Props to the beast. ¬†Check him out…
G-Shock presents a new commercia,l titled “What I Always Dreamt Of”, welcoming the addition of BMX’er Nigel Sylvester to its already reputable roster of athletes. The piece was directed by 13thWitness, capturing Nigel tearing up the streets of New York City the only way he knows how.
Video: Nike x The Cool Kids x Footlocker Р“Get Fresh Air”
Amare, Chris Bosh and DeSean link up for a new Nike ad. Looks like Griffey, Jr. has some new kicks on the market, and they look fresh. I’m glad to see the Kid picking up the slack when the rest of these baseball squares settle for the same old sh*t.
P.S. Can we please admit that Babe Ruth was not the greatest of all time, already? Thank you.
Uptown Baby?
I still think his pops made the best song any man with the name “Gunz” has come out with. That’s just me though. And if you don’t know what I’m talking about, do your homework.
Chrysler x Eminem – Imported From Detroit
Probably in my top 3 favorite commercials to air during the Big Game.¬† I got love for Detroit…
Congrats to the Packers on the win.  Maybe they can stop talking about Brett Favre now. (sigh)
Jay Electronica – The Announcement (Mountain Dew Code Red Commercial)
Electronica gets some respect (and dollars) from Mountain Dew.  I always feel like this dude has something up his sleeve.  He would be the type of dude who drops one major classic album and then retires.  This video is slick, tho.  Props to nah.
Much love to everyone who came out for the 3rd Annual Holiday Affair.  A great time was had by all, and MK got the chance to make it, even though the folks in London tried to foil his plans.
A Christmas Story With Snoop Dogg
Uncle Snoop gives us his version¬†of Santa’s¬†Christmas story.¬† How could you not like this guy.¬† The funniest thing, to me, is how he has evolved over the years.¬† He went from releasing one of the GREATEST rap albums of all time (Doggystyle) to becoming a celebrity icon and household name.¬† Crazy.
It aint no fun if the homies can’t have none. (c) Doggystyle
Nike Basketball – LeBron James “Rise” Commercial
As always, Nike knows how to capitalize on controversy.  Matter of fact, Nike knows how to capitalize on just about everything.  If the world was coming to an end tomorrow, Nike would sell a million shoes before the sun goes down TODAY.  Best marketing team in the WORLD, hands down.
As for LeBron…let’s slow down on playing the victim card.¬† You made a choice.¬† Life goes on, and Jamario Moon will be the starting small forward for the Cavs.¬†
Moving on…
Jay-Z – Decoded

On November 16th, Hov will release a book in which he decodes 36 of his original songs…Looks interesting. Anxious to see what songs he chooses. Art for the cover is Andy Warhol’s Rorschach. More on the book from Shawn Corey Carter himself…
When I first started working on this book, I told my editor that I wanted it to do three important things. The first was to make the case that hip-hop lyrics—not just my lyrics, but those of every great MC—are poetry if you look at them closely enough. The second was I wanted the book to tell a little bit of the story of my generation, to show the context for the choices we made at a violent and chaotic crossroads in recent history. And the third piece was that I wanted the book to show how hip-hop created a way to take a very specific and powerful experience and turn it into a story that everyone in the world could feel and relate to.
Hit the jump to hear Hov talk about ‘Most Kingz.’
