Video: Drake 1st Pitch & Interview in Cleveland

Listen, I got no real issues with Drizzy Drake. In fact, after hating on him a little bit with the release of Thank Me Later, I have done some re-evaluating. While TML was way too forced and formuaic for my liking, I have to give him credit. The kid knows how to write big records. Say what you want, but that is a largely missing component in most of today’s music, in my humble opinion. It seems he has a more organic sound this time around, and I think he will be much better off for it.

But back to this debauchery of athleticism. While in Cleveland for the I Am Music Tour and Ohio’s Homecoming, Aubrey was invited to hop on the mound and throw out the first pitch at Jacob’s Field. Ummm…not the worst performance we have seen on the mound, but if this is how a dude who probably smashes bad bxtches on the weekly throws, fxck, I should be Wilt Chamberlain.

The funny thing is that in the interview he tells the reporter from STO that he was a decent ball player growing up. While his entertainment career is on the upswing, this cat’s arm stopped developing about the same time he was a ‘decent ballplayer,’ when he was six. Let’s just put it this way: good thing this Aubrey wasn’t in my Little League growing up cause that boy’s self-esteem would have been in the gutter and quick FAST. Instead of crooning ‘Marvins Room,’ he probably would have been perfroming ‘Grease’ in high school and that would have been a wrap on his career.

But hey, Canada is a much more forgiving place.
