Stalley Show Recap

As you know we hosted Stalley along with the amazing Elevator Music on April 26th down at Skully’s. So many thanks to everyone who came out to enjoy the evening with us. I can’t even tell you how much fun I had. Chilling with old friends and meeting new people, it was a great, great night. Oh, and plus the lineup was incredible.
A big shout to Big D and the whole Elevator Music fam, Stalley and Dan, LxE and T Dials who I got to catch up with for the first time in forever. Crazy, crazy laughs.
More pics after the jump.

Gotcha B*tch!
Well, well, well. Looks like we finally got that ass. Props to all you special ops out there. I think this should be an official holiday…
The Hundreds Magazine Issue 4
Good look from The Hundreds Magazine, Issue 4. I just like the visuals. That’s about it. I’m hoping the warm weather comes sooner than later so I can peep some softlegs like these…
Happy Saturday.
The Source – Gucci Mane

I got love for Gucci Mane. I do…
I’m not sure if his own mother loves this face. Yikes.
Wiz Khalifa – Rolling Stone

Listen: if you make it to the cover of Rolling Stone, you are the f*cking man. Straight up.
XXL – 2011 Freshmen Class

Looks like we get a sneak peek at XXL’s upcoming “2011 Freshmen Class.” There are some extremely talented dudes in this group no doubt. Personally, I think they could have shaved it down to 5 or 6 artists, but it’s all good. Make sure to keep a close eye on Big K.R.I.T. I’ve been listening to his lastest tape, “K.R.I.T. Wuz Here,” and that shit is high quality. He’s from Mississippi, but he produces most of his own tracks and has shown the ability to tell a good story in his rhymes. Two thunbs up.
On another note, can we get Stalley in here, too? If you haven’t heard him yet, You NEED to download “Lincoln Way Nights,” which is available on our site. MUST HAVE.
Vibe Cover – Bruno Mars, Wiz Khalifa, B.o.B
Not quite sure how Wiz got thrown into this category. I mean, he’s a cool dude, very approachable, and makes great music. But I’m not sure 90% of the people who love “Black & Yellow” have heard the rest of his music collection. Weed and b*tches aren’t exaclty household topics in the avergae American family. I just find this funny.
On the other hand, if you judge pop music by how many 16 year-old suburban girls listen to it, then ALL 3 of these dudes fit right in. Sorry Beth, looks like your daughter is reppin’ a Taylor Gang T on the weekends…
‘Say she never been!’
Behind The Scenes – “Moment 4 Life” Video

Just some quick snapshots of Drizzy at the video shoot for “Moment 4 Life.” Sometimes I don’t know where I stand with Drake. Super talented? Yes. Marketable? Absolutely. Creates quality music? No argument from me. But I feel like there’s something missing, and I can’t put a finger on it. One of the things I notice is that his classic mixtape, So Far Gone, seemed to have more depth and character development to it. The songs really connected with people on a different/deeper level compared to his current music.
If anyone knows what I mean, please feel free to comment or provide some thought. Maybe I’m way off base. Oh well…
