Famsquad feat. KeilyN – Ocean Eleven

First, a big thank you to Keeynote for reaching out to KeilyN to hop on the latest Famsquad Friday joint. I have to say, this shit turned out nice!
See what the homie KeilyN delivers as he links up with some of the Midwest’s finest on one of his dopest features to date!
DJ Corey Grand & DJ Touch Money’s Beer & B-Sides

This is an amazing fucking mixtape. This shit is for real what hip-hop is supposed to look like. This track list is unreal. Transitions and scratches are on point. Concept is off the charts. All I can really say is: THANK YOU!
Also, please note the SoulKlap produced “Paper Rocket” made it on there. Shout out to Corey Grand though.
Beer & B-Sides is a collaboration project from Varsity Squad DJs: Corey Grand and Touch Money. Corey and Touch have a huge knack for wax and what the B-Side track meant to a 12 inch single. The B-Side doesn’t really exist in the current state of music, since most is released through the internet via music blogs. In honor of what the B-Side record meant back in the day, the two decided to team up to record a project that pays homage to the B-Side. Featuring some of the most authentic B-Side records to ever be recorded.

About the Browns…
Let’s begin with the draft. Not only is it a timely topic, but when it comes to the Browns, generally it is the ONLY topic worth discussing.
As most fans know, the Browns own the 4th, 22nd and 37th picks in the draft that begins next Thursday night. Not too shabby. Obviously with the state that the Browns are in, a perpetually poor one, they need to hit homeruns on all these picks. Generally, GM’s head into the draft hoping they do well enough to get starters out of their top three or four picks. Here is how I see things shaping up for the Browns.
Let’s get this out of the way first: If they draft QB Ryan Tannehill of A&M at four, let’s just say that’s a poor move. Although I agree we do require an upgrade at quarterback, the way the chips fell leading up to the draft with missing out on RGIII, I don’t think QB is our move this high. In fact, GM Tom Heckert would have to be high to make that pick.
So who are the candidates? One would assume there are three, but Heckert recently came out and said we are guaranteed to get one of two targets they like a lot. While, I don’t know how he has his players ranked (sidenote: the Browns have given first round grades to 18 players), I will assume those players are RB Trent Richardson and CB Morris Claiborne. One could probably make a sufficient argument that WR Justin Blackmon is also being considered for the 4th pick, but that pick simply doesn’t offer as much impact due to our quarterback situation.
Let’s back track slightly to talk about our quarterback situation, and really, how I believe it logically ties in with the reason Richardson would be favored over Blackmon with this pick. See, there is no question the Browns receivers group is poor, but we also lost RB Peyton Hillis to the Chiefs which leaves us with a pretty gaping hole at an important position. With McCoy seemingly the incumbent at quarterback even with rumors there may be an open competition between him and last year’s backup QB Seneca Wallace, filling a position of need that also takes the most pressure off of McCoy is the best move. Under this logic, the pick is Richardson.

KeilyN – White Women & Liquor

Looking to build upon the success of Timing, KeilyN comes back quickly to give the heads a dope freestyle to Q-Tip’s “Renaissance Rap” record.
Some dope one liners in here and basically just another high quality record to add to the catalogue. Be on the lookout for the official “Dope Boy” video coming soon!
SoulKlap – Suspicious
Our brother Soul has had a really nice year. From the Jay/Ye mashup with Mick to the incredibly well received Lana Del Ray/Biggie tape with Terry, SK continues his roll with a tribute to Trayvon Martin called “Suspicious.” The track was featured by Vice Mag as one of the best Trayvon tribute songs. It contains graphic content, but is an incredibly introspective track that I think everyone will find really unique.
Recently, Soul also let loose two dope joints. One he did over Kendrick’s “The Recipe” and the other over Ye’s “Theraflu.” He definitely went the fuck in on the Kendrick shit. Like it’s so flawless you might have thought he was on the original. Cop those below as a bonus.

PATH – Ethopiates

I’ll let the the good homie PATH tell it…
Here is my anticipated brand new album/mixtape titled “Ethiopiates” hosted by DJ Giovanny of Power 107.5 (Columbus’s largest hip-hop/R&B radio station). This project is produced by a variety of artists such as Woodrow Wilson, Beautiful Lou, Jacoti Sommes, North Kid, Shawn Green and features rappers LxE For The Uncool, P. Blackk, Metro of S.A. Smash and more. Ethiopiates can be described as “dark, bassey, atmospheric production blended with spiraling, drug induced party rap” creating a hip-hop album unlike no other
DJ Swerve feat. ZuP, Veeno & Patrenzo Kennedy – Nowhere 2 Go

Our brother Swerve drops the first single off his upcoming project which will feature a lot of dope up and coming artists. I’ve heard at least four joints off it, and they are tough.
“After the a successful release of Sid and Friends in November, I am back with my latest single NOWHERE2GO which features ZuP, Veeno, and Patrenzo Kennedy. It has a nice feel to it and is definitely one of my favorite tracks I’ve put together.” – DJ Swerve [@_DJSWERVE_]

James John- GoldisH!
Our brother James John drops a smooth track for all the real heads out there just because he’s feeling generous.
Currently, James John is working on multiple projects. The Quan II with SoulKlap is a follow up to the classic The Quan, while he will also link back up with Divine Minds producer Mike A. to create Regulus which is a follow up to their debut album Divine Intervention.
I need you guys to know that the albums I referenced above are classic records, and I expect the same exact thing from their follow ups. My man JJ is at his absolute best when he is working with those two producers. I have already heard a few joints, and they are really honest, emotional records. These releases will be great additions to an already deep ass catalogue.
PATH feat. Charlie Smith – Transient
The brother PATH releases a smooth track off his Ethopiates project which drops in an hour or so. We will have that here tomorrow. Really looking forward to find out what he cooked up.
