Jadakiss feat. Styles P 'We Gonna Make It'

And just in case you thought we were getting too hipster on you.

The audio is a little off, but this video is WAY MORE PRICELESS than the official video.

J to the MUAH, I kiss you, you b*tch ass ni**as/
Bet the hood won't miss you, you b*tch ass ni**a.

Harlem Throwback: Children of the Corn

For those of you who know, and for those of you who know now...this should either be a walk down memory lane or an educational treat. Children of the Corn, known in short as C.O.C. is one of the best rap groups of all time to never make it (as a group). Cam'ron and Mase both have enjoyed their fair share of success as solo artists, but rap lovers can only wonder "what if" when it comes to the Harlem based group formed in the early 90's. Other group members included McGruff (not pictured), Blood Shed(not pictured/deceased), Digga, and most notatbly Big L (deceased) who is arguably one of the greatest lyricists to ever touch a mic. My Favorite song by this group is "American Dream."

P.S. Pay close attention to Big L's verse-so raw. Keep in mind this was made in the 90's. He was so far ahead of his time and yet his time was cut short at the age of 24 in 1999. RIP Big L.

A Conversation with Donnis

Sammy J caught up with Donnis up in Cleveland during the Crowd Control tour. Big shouts to Donnis for taking the time with us. It is greatly appreciated. 'Gone' has been my jam for a MINUTE now.
DONNIS talks about staying true to himself as an artist, his journey leading to his signing with Atlantic, being part of the XXL top Freshman of 2010 and finding his niche in the industry.
20 hour work week, nah 20 hours a day. We gettin' it in.

^^^ I like this attitude.

Nike Vintage Vision

These are Nice.  Quick nod to FRESHNESS.

The way I see it, there are basically 3 reasons to wear shades:

1. The sun is out in full force
2. You're trying to play it cool in the midst of a hangover
3. You've recently engaged in a serious session (no explanation needed)

Any other reasons are probably a combination of these.

IPATH 2010 Spring Langston Hemp

Not going to find these in Youngstown. Better hit that world wide web son.
Speaking of Youngstown, props to the city for bringing some nightlife back downtown. Beautiful women and cheap drinks. Can't beat it. And for those of you who don't know much about Ohio, there's a reason why the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame resides in Cleveland.
Rust Belt stand up!

Kidz In The Hall 'Introlude (One Shot)'

These dudes are VERY talented. If you haven't listened to them, you need to get your ass to Best Buy (or the iTunes store) and cop some of their work. There are definitely some good things happening in the world of hip hop music lately.

This quick clip is from their newly released album, Land of Make Believe. We were able to catch up with Naledge and Double-0 recently, so keep an eye out for some exclusive footage of Kidz here at The Higher Plane. You know how we do.

Propers to 2DopeBoyz.

Kidz in the Hall feat. DONNIS & Chip Tha Ripper 'Mr. Alladatsh*t'

We had the opportunity to catch a sneak peek of Naledge, DONNIS, and Chip performing Mr. Alladatsh*t off of Kidz in the Hall's, The In Crowd.

I saw Kidz open up for Brother Ali out in London right after The In Crowd dropped. At that time, I was running outside a lot, and I listened to their album on most of my runs cause a lot of the beats were going hard. 'Mr. Alladatsh*t' was just one of those tracks I loved.

Very cool to see them during sound check performing it, and seeing Chip forget his lyrics cause he was ripped as shit. LoL.

Cleveland is my city. St. Clair, we the best!

DONNIS Freestyle - Crowd Control Tour (Higher Plane Exclusive)

Evan Turner Game Winner

He's a good player.

I miss MANY things in sports being over in the UK. Like in America, I would watch ESPN, most, if not all the time. Here, I never see any American sports outside of watching the Cavs on League Pass Broadband.

How dumb is Michigan for not guarding the inbounds pass, or really trying to guard Turner period?

Hope the Bucks make some noise in the tourney.
